LSW, Therapist
Hi, I’m Carlie! I have always had a passion for helping others and truly enjoy making a difference in the lives of the individuals I serve. My goal is to partner with clients to empower them to overcome their difficulties, enhance their well-being, and improve their quality of life. Through providing a safe and supportive environment, I ensure clients have the support they need to work through issues that are important to them.
I graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor’s in Social and a minor in Spanish, and earned my Master’s Degree through Millersville University. I am a licensed social worker (LSW). Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals, groups, and families of all ages and backgrounds. I am specialized in the area of child abuse and have experience working with trauma. I have also supported clients facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, emotional management, loss, school issues, and family issues.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based. I recognize clients as the experts in their own situations and never assume to know what is best for them. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Mindfulness.
I genuinely believe that all individuals are capable of growth and change, especially when provided with a safe and comfortable environment where they can focus on issues that matter to them. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey!
